In my drawings, I am often the central figure contemplating my anatomic being in a society that constantly categorizes my experiences.  My portraits relate to the issues that I have existing on so many different levels, These “Portraits of Purpose” portray a snippet of my emotions in my daily life. Also, my intellectual and cultural awareness. My process relates to time constraints and the sacrifices that were made during the 2015 semester and my daily life help me to grow as a strong black female. In 2018, I’m ready to define myself. My goal is to use my background in Fine Art, to help people who are in great need. Through my creative process of Visual Art, I will provide people with a sense of hope and empowerment to overcome.
